Wood (2007) suggested that the type might be in the Museo de Zoología in São Paulo. It was not there in 2023. Both Wood (2007) and Smith & Cognato (2021) state that it is neither in Budapest nor in Schedl’s collection in Vienna. If the unique type is not found, this is a nomen dubium.
