Taxonomy Comments
Bright (1977, 1981) treats quercinus Wood as a synonym of guatemalensis Blandford. This synonymy was rejected by Wood (1982). Given that guatemalensis in the sense of Wood (1982) is only known from Guatemala and central Mexico, Bright's (1981) record of guatemalensis from western Texas should probably be referred to quercinus Wood. The identity of these 2 species needs to be re-examined.
