Microperus cruralis (Schedl, 1975)

Species Taxonomy

Scolytinae > Xyleborini > Microperus

Synonyms

  • Xyleborus cruralis Schedl, 1975
  • Coptodryas cruralis (Schedl, 1975)
  • Cnestus cruralis (Schedl, 1975)

Taxonomy Comments

Wood & Bright (1992: 802) cite Tibet, Bengal, and the Andaman Islands. According to Beaver (1995:201) this is due to an error in interpreting non-published uses of cruralis by Eggers, Beeson, and Schedl which actually refer to Xyleborus fragosus (= Coptodryas nugax). Beaver et al. (2014:36) further note that the species cited as cruralis by Maita & Saha (2004) is not that species.

Hosts

  • Dipterocarpaceae > Dipterocarpus
