Taxonomy Comments

Species of this genus are poorly described and diagnostic characters are subtle. Dendrocranulus cucurbitae, D. rudis and D. confinis are very similar and need to be re-examined. Based on specimens originally identified by Wood, many specimens from central Mexico have been identified as D. cucurbitae and may belonng here.
