Wood (2007: 670) transferred this species to Gnathotrupes. He also mistakenly concluded that the holotype was a male. This species is being transferred to Premnobius (Petrov & Atkinson, in press).

Wood (2007: 671) transferred this species to Gnathotrupes. This species is being transferred to Premnobius (Petrov & Atkinson, in press). Wood suggested that the paratype is actually the holotype that was allegedly returned to the CAS and never arrived there.
