Bark and Ambrosia Beetles of the World

Bright (1967:674) cited the holotype as being in the Cornell University collection. However, there is a specimen with a lectotype label in the Canadian Natl. Collection. The specimen also has a Cornell University label suggesting that the specimen might have originally been from that collection.
