Taxonomy Comments
Based on Wood's 1982 treatment this species is probably a synonym of Tricolus speciosus Schedl. While I have not seen the Schedl's type, Wood's male specimen (Guapiles, Costa Rica) is conspecific with his material of spectabilis.
