Dinoxyleborus sexnotatus (Schedl, 1970)

Species Taxonomy

Scolytinae > Xyleborini > Dinoxyleborus

Synonyms

  • Premnobius sexnotatus (Schedl, 1970)
  • Xyleborus sexnotatus Schedl, 1970

Taxonomy Comments

Wood (2007:367) stated that this species (treated in Premnobius) was " an obvious introduction from Africa of a species near hystrix (Schedl)". This is unlikely as Smith (2017) transferred in to a new genus in the Xyleborini and it is not related to Premnobius (Ipini).

Hosts
