Taxonomy Comments

Bright (1981) treated as incertae sedis. Known only from the holotype with the frons hidden, the sex unknown, and the specimen showing signs of warping. Wood (1982) suggested that it might be conspecific with dimidiatus Blackman. Bright's (1981) comments were ignored in Wood & Bright (1992: 1031). Based on reading of all sources, Bright's (1981) position seems most reasonable. Essentially this name cannot be associated with any extant species.
